The 8th Annual Competition started on January 28, 2020; students are invited to enter by June 30, 2020. The theme of this annual is “Timber is Life”.

The organizers intend students to show how variable material the timber in civil engineering is and that is why there is no specification limiting them. All contest designs are divided into two categories: Timber constructions – small (smaller than 500 m3 of built-up area) and Timber constructions – large (over 500 m3 of built-up area).

Not only houses but also watchtowers, foot bridges and other timber structures can be submitted.

The designs are judged both by a jury of outstanding architects, civil engineers and investors and also by general public as well through online voting.

At least the taking part in the contest will be interesting experience for all participants. Six winners will be awarded financial and material rewards at the amount of 200 000 CZK. Some participants in previous annual competitions have even found prestigious dream jobs.
