The Faculty of Civil Engineering is part of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, which is one of the three largest universities in the Czech Republic. In accordance with the Bologna declaration, the faculty offers education in Bachelor's, follow-up Master's and Doctoral degree study programmes in a wide range of Civil Engineering disciplines, and Architecture.
The structure of individual courses reflects the latest findings in the field of civil engineering, and effectively combines lectures and practice. Special emphasis is placed on collaboration with foreign universities. Students are offered the opportunity to spend part of their study at one of our partner universities, or to take part in specialised practical trainings in companies abroad.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering participates in a number of domestic, as well as foreign, projects, involving innovative teaching methods and scientific research activities.
