Department of Structures

Welcome to the website of the Department of Structures!!!

The Department of Structures provides bachelor, master and doctoral studies by teaching courses in the field of designing and assessing of  building, industrial and technological structures and bridges of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, but also steel, timber, masonry and composite materials.

Specialization of the Department of Structures

  •     design, assessment and realization of steel, concrete, wood, masonry and composite structures;
  •      loading of building structures;
  •      mathematical modeling of structure behavior (time-dependent phenomena, non-linear properties of material, interaction of structure with subsoil, effects of undermining);
  •      behavior of structures in extreme conditions (thermal, radiation, deformation and moisture stress including fire resistance of structures);
  •      redevelopment, reconstruction and strengthening of buildings, foundation engineering;
  •      computer aided design, automation of structural design.
