Summary
Computer development allows for consideration the introduction of a qualitatively new probabilistic approach to structural reliability assessment in designer's work. The subject of the proposal is the evaluation of the available concepts based on simulation techniques, the introduction of nonraditional representation of input variables in the probability of failure analysis with regard to safety, serviceability and durability criteria. The reliability is expressed by comparing the probability of failure and target probability determined according to the risk engineering rules. The team has already developed probabilistic method Simulation-Based Reliability Assessment (SBRA) documented in textbooks (see www.sbra-anthill.com). Project proposal is aimed on the extension of the SBRA' s theoretical basis, systematic expansion of its application in civil and mechanical engineering, it will formulate the relevant code outline and strategy for programmes and databases application. The examples solved using SBRA approach should contribute to a better understanding he substance of the probabilistic approach. The proposal aims will contribute to the transition to efficient probabilistic reliabili assessment concepts reflecting the computer era.
