Scientists from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of VSB-TUO have developed a new type of sensor based on optical fibres that can be used in blasting operations. They collaborated with the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Subterra, Safibra and the Czech Technical University in Prague on the research project of innovative geotechnical monitoring methods.
